A thorough assessment is the process by which a clinician tries to understand a whole person—strengths, weaknesses, personality traits, learning styles, diagnoses—in order to figure out what strategies will be most helpful for that individual in day-to-day life. The assessment process may include a clinical interview, completion of standardized forms and checklists, and one-on-one testing. The results are presented in a written report; you are also encouraged to attend at least one in-person feedback session with Dr. Imber to review the results and make sure that your questions are answered. Here’s an overview of the whole process.
Your evaluation may include different types of assessment services:
Neuropsychological Assessment
Educational Assessment
